Aircraft Fuselage Blast Cleaning

When Concorde was in service, we carried out blast cleaning to remove paint on a static prototype at The Imperial War Museum at Duxford. We undertook surface preparation works to the fuselage of a Dakota for the film ‘Band of Brothers’ and cleaned other historic military equipment.

Steel cleaning of large areas such as aircraft hangars is a quick and effective way of preparing the surface for re- coating. Dust suppressant methods are employed within sensitive areas to minimise potential problems and give a satisfactory finish.
